Thursday 23 February 

Technical field trip to the Bay of Plenty 7.30am-7.30pm

 

Assemble at 7.30am in the hotel foyer for 7.45am boarding of buses for the day to begin with breakfast in a unique location, after which the tour continues into New Zealand’s leading kiwifruit growing region, visiting ‘Hayward’, ‘Hort16A’ and organic orchards plus postharvest facilities that use the most up-to-date technologies.  The tour concludes with a visit to HortResearch’s Te Puke Research Centre for an orchard tour followed by a barbeque dinner.
7.30pm approximate arrival in Rotorua.
